BITTER PIT IN APPLES
SPRAYING THEORY DISPROVED. ■ (By Telegraph.—Prose Association.—Copyright.) MELBOURNE, July 11. Received July 12, 1.5 a.m. The Minister of Customs has received the report of the committee appointed to investigate the cause of bitter pit in apples. This stated that the disease was found In apple trees which had never been sprayed. The report stated that the commtitee considered that the theory of spraying as the cause had been disproved. Further investigations are pending.
