The demand for skilled labour In Invercargill continues good, overtime being worked in some instances. There is still a considerable number of unskilled men unemployed, but not more than is generally the case at this lime of year. There is a plentiful supply of fruit locally, but the market in so far as variety is concerned is rather cramped, Hobart supplying the bulk in the shape of apples and pears. There are also on hand South Australian lemons and passion fruit. Xext week there will be a timely shipment of Island oranges and bananas.
