BLUFF BOROUGH COUNCIL

THE TOWBT CLEBKSHIP. A special meeting of the Campbelllown Borough Council was hold on .Saturday evening last to receive the resignation of the Town Clerk (“Mr A. McClure), who has been appointed Town Clerk. of Ashburton. There were present : His Worship the Mayor (Mr K. A. Nichol) and Crs. Crulckshank, Galbraith. McUougall, Torrance, Crocket. Metzger, Walker and Munson. On the motion of Or. Walker, seconded by Or. Cruickshank, the resignation was received with regret. After some consideration it was derided to call for applications for the position of Town Clerk at a salary of £llO per annum, candidates with Municipal experience being preferred. Applications are to be advertised for in the Southland papers and the Otago Daily Times, and are to be in by 7 p.m. on the Ist April. A special meeting is to be held at 7.30 on the same evening, to consider the applications. The drawing up of the schedule of duties was left to the Mayor and the present Town Plerk,
