TEE QUEENSLAND CYCLONE. BRISBANE, March 20. Two men were killed by falling houses at Port Douglas during the cyclone. one while assisting his mother to escape. The wrecked buildings Include the Roman and Anglican churches, the Government bond, and three public halls. A PLAGUE OF GRASSHOPPERS. SYDNEY. March 20. Gundagai is besieged by a plague of grasshoppers, which are so thick that it is Impossible to drive vehicles through them. They are eating everything green. RE-NAMED. MELBOURNE, March 20. The Federal Government has decided to alter the name of Palmerston to Darwin. TEE REFERENDA CAMPAIGN. SYDNEY, March 20. Received March 21, 1 am. Premier Fisher, in continuation of tire referenda campaign, addressed a monster meeting at the Town Hall, the Lord Mayor presiding. The speech was largely a reply to Mr Deakin’s criticisms.
