In reply to a request by the Palmerston North Liberal Association that he would accept nomination in view of the retirement of Mr W. S. Wood, late member, Mr Robert McNab last night informed the Press Association that he would stand for the Palmerston seat at the forthcoming general election. In connection with a recent cable stating that Mr- Wm. Redmond was about to visit Australia to collect funds for the Home Rule propaganda, Cardinal Moran is advised that Mr Redmond is coming to New Zealand, not to Australia. '
