The draught horses to be offered have all been bred at Pine Bush from highclass mares and the best sires obtainable in the Southland Districts. “KATE XI,” bay, 11 years sire "Lochnagar” with colt foal at foot by “Silver Crest” (imp.), and stinted to "Abbot” (imp.). “FLOWER II,” dark bay mare, 10 yrs, sire “Lochnagar,” with hlly foal at foot by "Baron Crest,” stinted to “Abbot” (Imp.). “STAR 111,” black mare. 9 years, by “Scottish Chief,” stinted to "Silver Crest” (imp.). “FLOWER 111,” dark bay filly, 2yrs, sire “Lord Aynsley.” “STAR IV,” filly, 2 years, sire “Lord Aynsley” Filly, 1 year, by "Silver Crest” (Imp ). Such an opportunity seldom offers for the acquisition of stock of such excellence. Progeny from the Shorthorn herd has already formed the foundation of many leading herds in the South Island. A special train stopping at Mokotua at 10.50 a.m., Kapuka at 10.55 a.m, and Gorge Road at 11 a.m., will leave Invercargill for Titiroa at 10.30 a.m. on the morning of the sale, returning same evening. Drags will meet the train at Titiroa. A Drag will also meet the morning trains at Edendale to convey buyers to the sale.
