WYNDHAM NOTES.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) A meeting convened to form a swimming club at Wyndhar-, held on Thursday last, was well attended. Rev. D. Rankin was voted to the chair, and explained the object of the mee.' -g. All members of the club should be instructed in the art of swimming, and life-sav-ing demonstrations should be given. On the motion of Rev. Rankin, seconded by Mr E. Cockerill, it was resolved that a swimming club be formed. The election of office-bearers resulted as follows —President, Rev. L>. Rankin ; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs W. J. Marsh, D. Bogue, A. A. Wilson. C. Finlayson, B. Sutherland, and J. Gold ; secretary. Mr N. A. Wilson : captain. Mr .1. Kingsiandk committee, Messrs J. B. Marsh, E. Cockerill, and T. Bogue. It was decided to make membership Is. as the season as so far advanced. The committee were empowered to draw up rules, and the secretary was instructed to procure rules from neighbouring clubs. The matter of a suitable - lace for swimming was left In the hands of the committee, who will report to a general meeting. Rev, Rankin said that next year he believed there would be some lady members. In that case the rules ould require to provide certain hours for each sex. Hospital Saturday collections at Wyndham amo nted to £ll 10s 7d. Miss B. McLauchlan sup vised the whole proceedings, her assistants being Misses D. McLauchlan, M. Bogue, I. Sutherland, I. Heads, H. Hayes, and A. Hayea,
