HOW THE END CAME. ST. PETERSBURG, November 20. Received 21, 1.2, ; a-m. After Tolstoy’s second cardiac attack, yesterday, morphia, was injected. The Countess was admitted to the bedside this morning, but her husband did not recognise her. A later message states that the first attack lasted twenty minutes. Tolstoy became conscious in the evening and slept, but had a second seizure early in the morning. He again , slept, but did not regain consciousness, and died at six this morning. \ \ 1
