ROME, March 24

Ten craters on Etna are now throwing out lava, which threatens several villages.

TWO VILLAGES DESTROYED

ANOTHER THREATENED,

ROME, March 25 Received 26, 0.50 a.m.

The lava from four craters has joined and has made a stream 1500 ft wide and 12ft deep, which is descending at the rate of half a mile an hour, and has destroyed the villages of Capriolo and Barello, and is threatening Belpasso. The inhabitants are placing sacred relics in front of , their houses.

Twenty-three shocks of earthquake have been registered at Etna Observatory in eight hours.
