The following are the weather statistics for the weelc ending yesterday, taken at the Makarewa School: —Total rainfall, 1.25 inches; number of days on which rain fell, 6; number of days on which no rain fell, 1; most rain fell on Thursday, when .70 were registered; highest barometer, 30.0; lowest barometer, 29.5; maximum temperature (shaded), 69 deg.; minimum temperature (shaded), 49 deg.; highest mean temperature, or warmest days, were Sunday and Friday, 59 degrees. Lowest mean temperature, or coldest day, Wednesday, 50 deg.; general direction of wind was W. or S.W.; most wind on Thursday; on the whole a windy week. NOTES —To show the changeableness oX the weather, Wednesday, the 9th, was a very hot day, the thermometer reading 81 deg. in the shade, whilst Wednesday, the IGth, was very cold, the thermometer reading. 4 9 deg. On the Lth men were going about in oilskins pr overcoats.
