OTTAWA, March 15,

. The Dominion Government is advancing six million dollars to the Montreal Harbour Commission to provide additional port facilities.

The contract with the New Zealand Shipping Company provides for a monthly steamer sailing from Montreal in summer ■ and St. John in winter, and calling at Halifax. A subsidy of £2OOO per month Is given, and it is provided that the rates shall not exceed those on steamers from similar ports In the United States.
