Received April 29, 9.45 p.m. At Antwerp sales there are numerous buyers and good competition. The catalogue mostly comprises crossbreds; common sorts range from par to 5 per cent, higher. Some 2,828 bales of La Plata wool were offered and 1,920 sold. The guard, after investigation brought along a very subdued young man who apologised profusely and was most penitent The girl forgave him; the guard collected 15s for the broken window. At the meeting of householders for the election of a school committee at Oretl Plains, the annual report disclosed a most satisfactory year’s work and a credit balance of £23 3s lid. The outgoing committee received a hearty vote of thanks and regret was expressed at the departure from the district of Mr W. Coster, who for a series of years, has been a most capable and energetic secretary. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year;— Messrs John M-rdoch, Jas. Findlay, Thos.
