At a meeting of the Harbour Board to-day the committee which was appointed to consider the question of the grounding of Hie Ulimaroa while coming up the harbour submitted a report in which it e:;pr«.sse(l the opinion that the master ol' the vessel (Captain Wy I - lie) had not exercised ordinary care in the navigation of tne vessel, and recommended that liis pilotage exemption certificate bo withdrawn, the captain to have the option of applying in three month;! for re-in-tateinent. After lengthy discussion, the recommendation was 'rejected by tdx votes to four, in the course of discussion the opinion was freely expressed mat in the event of such accident ; in the hnrhour occurring again Lite Board should be represented ill any inquiry held.
