ENTERTAINMENTS.

WIDE WOULD PICTURES. The last programme finished up a successful week ut the Zoalandia flail yesterday evening, and to-night another new programme wm he presented. The great feature of the new pictures will be a representation of episodes from Hitler Haggard’s noted book "Kbc.” There are. besides, several other films of Interest, including "Jersey, the Land of Sunshine," "The Delta of the Nile,” and "Logging In Sweden.” CONCERT AT WOODLANDS. A most enjoyable concert was held at Woodlands yesterday evening, the object being to raise money in aid of the Public Hall fund. There was a large attendance and Air J. F. Schmidt was In the chair. A number of Invercargill visitors contributed to the programme. the various items of which were apparently greatly appreciated by the audience. Sengs were given by Mrs ,T. G. Gillies. (March of the Cameron .Mon), Mrs Beattie, Air Norman Churton (Three for Jack). Mr E. S. Perry (Queen of the Earth), and H. Rich arils (The Link Divine). Miss King played a piano solo, and Air Phil Poole a violin solo. Air J. D. Gilmore recited “Jacob Strauss,” and Mr A. S. Wallace "The Alodcl Woman. ’ These two gentlemen also created great amusement by their story without word;;, ’"rue Lightning Shave.” Miss Olive Pearson danced a Sailor’s Hornpipe very g-mefully. At the conclusion of the concert a dance was held, and a good many couples remained to spend a few more pleasant hours.
