HALF HOLIDAY POLLS
Per dotted Preu AMWciatlrn. DUNEDIN, April 28. A poll of electors in the combined district was taken to-day on the half-holi-lay question and resulted in favour of Wednesday by a large majority. Votes were recorded as follows:—For Monday 22. Tuesday 11, Wednesday 5750, Thursday 21, Friday 9. Saturday 3697. CHRISTCHURCH, April 28. Half-holiday poll for the city resulted: Thursday 0625, Saturday 3225. FEILDXNG, April 28. A -oil was taken to-day on the half, holiday question and resulted in Wednesday being chosen by a large majority over Saturday. WANGANUI, April 28. The half-holiday poll resulted in the retention of Thursday by 1770 against b44 ' NELSON. April 28. The half-holiday poll resulted in favour of Wednesday by a majority of 388 over Saturday, There was fairly heavy polling, the chief interest centreing ir the holiday question.
