At the trial of the youth Williams for the murder of Johnston at Reewaa accused made a statement that he was working for Johnston, that they quarrelled, and that Johnston struck him. On the spur of the moment he picked up a hammer and struck and killed Johnston. He sank the body in tho river, and afterwards sold Johnston’s horses and waggon. JURY DISAGREES. Received April 29, 12.25 p.m. The jury disagreed In the Weewaa case.
