Wellington Crimes

Per United Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 29. At the Magistrate's Court to-day James Sidney Hines was. committed for trial on a charge of stealing about £ll6 from a deaf and dumb man named David Sutherland at Wellington on May 27th last. Sutherland's dead body was subsequently found in the harbour, the only money in the pockets of his clothing being one penny. Fred William Jones was sentenced to six months' imprisonment on two charges of obtain, ing goods by false pretences. He was committed for trial on several charges of forgery.
