16 MEN DROWNED. Per United Press Association. Dy Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, Dec. 15. The Tliomas Lawson, a 5000-ton petroleum Boat, capsized while riding at anchor at Scilly. Sixtegn men were drowned and three saved. EIGHT BLUEJACKETS LOST. A heavy sea swamped a steam cutter belonging to the torpedo boat Speed well at Sheerneso Pier and drowned eight bluejackets who were starting on Christmas leave.
