Matric. Examinations

TO BE HELD AFTER CHRISTMAS,

Per United Press Association

AUCKLAND, Doc. 16

Sir Robert Stout states re the examination for matriculation,, that it applies to Wellington candidates only. The scholarship examinations, which concern about one hundred candidates, must be re-held nil over the dominion, as all the candidates must have the same papers ect them. The fact that thy examiners and the candidates are in all parts o i tho dominion, added to the time rccjiired lor preparing the papers, etc., renders it practically impossible to hold the examination before Christmas. The time required for preparing tho second matriculation examination papers for the Wellington candidates would likewise prevent it from being held till after Christmas.
