BOOTMAKERS’ WAGES

The Arbitration Court’s award in the 'bootmakers’ dispute lixes the minimum wage for journeymen at 48s, the same as in Victoria, and for piece work at 71- per cent added to the existing loy rates. The award will come into operation in January next.
