SATrnOAV, JULY 27. J. A. Mitchell and Co. report :-We hold our weekly mile in the Prince of Wale* yard* a* above, and hed a fain entry (30 horse*). The draughts with two or three exceptions were a very ordinary lot and were also very hard to place, but by auction and privately a fair number changed hands at prices mostly in favour of buyers. Me sold by auebion the Olydesdale stallion ' Sauilow" (sire McArthur, dam Oinssom by Old Clyde), to Mr James Wilson. PcaW»rH Downs, af a satisfactory figure. We sold draughts at £3(> to ££o for ordinary sorts, and quote good horses to £4O. One useful spring-carter sold ai £OO Hacks and light harness, horses— Thi* clae.- at present, owing to the high price <75 feed, I# difficult to sell at anything but low prices. Me placed .severs. useful animals a t £l2 downwards. Al Winton or. Friday we held our monthly snie, but ns rn other centres, found the demand slack.
