Per United Press Association. ALEXANDRA SOUTH, April 17. His Excellency the Governor commenced iris oJlicial visit to Central Otago this morning. He was met at a number of places eu route and presented with addresses oi welcome, Everywhere, tlie reception accorded to His Excellency was enthusiastically loyal, ami in ids replies His Majesty’s representative thanked the people not only for their kindness in moetingi him, hut for their expressions of loyalty to the Throne.
At Alexandra to-night a conversazione was held to nivc tho townspeople an opportunity of meeting Lite Governor. 'x hero was a very larg-o attendance. An address of welcome wits presented, and His Excellency, in returning thin' s, said that he hoped to return to the disirict at some future lime, accompanied by Hady Pilin'-To-morrow His Excellency goes on to Cromwell.
