Exhibition Rifle Meeting

Per United Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 18. Hie Exhibition rifle meeting opened at Eiedcliffs. There were 380 competitors. The programme was a very large one, there being over eleven hundred pounds in cash and trophies. Among the competitors were representatives of Australia and all parts of the colony. Shooting opened with the Otago match at 200, 500 and 600 yards ; but the match was unfinished. The best completed scores were ; Captain Collett (Waipewaf) 98, Private G. Handley 97, Rifleman R. J. Kennard (Linton) 97, Private Thorpe (Wainoa) 97, Sergt. MapClay 96.
