The Liverpool Chamber of Commerce proposes to hold an Imperial Congress of Chambers in July for the formation of an Imperial Advisory Council, with commercial representatives in every British colony and dependency. The Hon. W. S. Eielcliing; Canadian Minister of Finance, speaking at Ottawa, declared that under their respective tariffs German trade sulfered more than Canadian. Though the Porto is profoundly impressed at the increase of the Egyptian garrison by Britain it is feared the Sultan will not yield until Britain proceeds to extremes. An assets company is being formed in London to acquire the property of the mortgagees and bondholders of McCracken's City Brewery Co.. .Melbourne.
