School Committees Elections.

.MONDAY, 23rd APRIL. BALFOUR.—Thu meeting was poorly attended. The Chairman gave a resume of the past year's work, v. hich showed they start ed ui'.h tt balance of hi; 13s, and left 12s lOd. During the year they had hullt an additional shelter shed, and Mr Rodgers, of the N.Z. Agricultural Co. had granted the committee an acre of ground fro agricultural experiments The school had made good progress and been well attended. The uew committee are Messrs William Currie (chtyirmanj, 11. P. llenriksen (sec. and Irens.), Robert Stark, A. C. West, M. Rasmussen. John Macpherson, and Robert Condon. blMSHKN.—Fourteen householders and persona entitled to vote for the school committee attended the annual meeting. Mr Andrew Small, chairman of the lapsed committee, was toted to Ihe chair, A report and the balance-sheet were submitted Tin- latter showed a rreflit balance of t' 1 7s lid. Doth documents were received and adopted. The election of a committee resulted as follows;—-Messrs Robertson (re-elected i, Men/.ies. Small (re-elected). The committee then met ami reappointed Mr Andrew .Small, chairman and treasurer, Mr dames Martin, secretary. A letter was received from the Education Hoard stating that Mr T. C. Wild hml been appointed special assistant in the District High Schcol here. .Some remittances from the Hoard were also received. If was decided by four votes to three to congratulate the Head Teacher on his marriage and wish him future prosperity and happiness. BLUFF.—There was an attendance of about It! at the householders’ meeting. Mr McClure occupied the chair and read the report which showed a small credit balance after £ 15 had been raised to supplement the Hoard’s allowance and £72 paid for fencing, of width £35 was paid by the Education Hoard. ATHOL. —The following gentlemen were elected :—Messrs D. Stuncombe, A. Howell, F. Parker (sec. and treas.), M. Price (chairman), R. Ferguson, M. McLennan and A. Gibson. RYAL BUSH. —The following gentlemen were elected as the school committee Messrs Walter Blakie (chairman), Me- 1 Culloch (secretary), Wishart, Gilmour, Wm. Clark, Tait, and James Hamilton. GORE.—The annual meeting was attended ’oy 1.1 householders, Mr A. Martin. presiding. The report slated the average attendance in May. 19i)5, was 414.3 ; roll number -100 ; for the current mcntli the average was 154.H until the roll number 492. The year began with a credit balance of £4O Ids 3d and closed with u balance at credit of £lO 4b 3d. The following were elected the committee:—Messrs R. L. Christie, J. Turnbull, A. Martin (chairman), C. Smith. (I. J. Anderson (sec.), E. H. Bowler, A. J. Gibbs, J. E. Broad and J. M. Graham. EAST GORE.—The following were elected a committee byl the ten householders who attended the meeting Messrs A. Aitken, A. Watt, N. Robson, W. Boyne- (chairman). A. Speden. W. Gee (sec. and treas-), ami W. Foweraker. WYNDHAM.—The committee for Ike ensuing year are Messrs R. S, Drummond (chairman), A. A. Wilson (secretary). E. G. Macpherson, S. Shaw, W. J. Marsh.
