Anglo-Tibetan Settlement
Per United Press Association. By Electric , Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, April 21. Neuter's Shanghai correspondent reports that an Anglo-Tibetan treaty has been signed at Pekin. Britain and Tibet recognise China’s Tibetan protectorates Britain undertakes not to interfere with the country’s internal affairs unless others interfere; China agrees To open some Tibetan markets to Indian trade, to construct telegraphs in Tibet, to give Britain preference as regards railway concessions, and to pay Iwo million four hundred thousand' taels as an indemnity for the cost of the Younghusband expedition.
