Tin; annual meeting of the above club urns 1 eld in the Union rooms on Friday ; the fiv.-ddent. Ml T. .M. Macdonald. in the chair- The following report won submilted and adopted:— The committee are idoased to he aide to report that the club had a moat successful season for the tirst year of its existence. At its inception the membership stood at about twiilty members, but by the close of the season Urn number had. reached thirty-eight members. The club held 15 weekly runs during the season, averaging 22 members; also live races. The races were Well contest, d. the entries for which were always large, making it difficult occasionally i..r the handicappers. having sometimes 25 competitors to provide for. Thompson anil J■ A. Sloan, and although not successful they were among the middle lot in getting to the tape. The Otago boys were a strong combinasion, and deserved their good win. The Committee take this opportunity of thanking the Tress for their liberality m giving space to reports. '1 ho annual football match between the two local clubs was won by our club by the comfortable margin of six points to nil. The distribution of prizes took place in' the V.M.B.C.U. rooms, Mr T. M. Macdonald presenting the trophies won by the members during the year. The committee recommend, the proposal of forming a Southland Centre of the Nd/vA.A.A to the incoming committee.
