Three agreements arrived at between employers and employes without, the intervention of the Court were adopted as awards yesterday, and this mornimr Air Grosvenor intimated that the fellmongers' dispute, in which evidence was taken yesterday, would doubtless be settled by compromise covering all branches of the trade. " You are quite a peaec-lo\nng community here," remarked Mr Brown, member of the Court. Mr llossor stated that he was pleased to see that the letterpress machinists were .sharing in the wave of conciliation passing over the northern industrial district. A conference between the parties had resulted in cgreement upon all points, excepting; wages, A further conference on Saturday would probably end in a complete agreement, which the Court would be asked to accept as an iiward. Mr Urosvuiror stated that the book binders were prevented from settling their dispute owing to a small difference with their employers. Mr .Justice Chapman suggested thai ii the difference was only a small one the parties might consult the chairman of the Conciliation Board. " Everything in going on so well h.-re." added his Honour, "that we do not like to sec this spoiled by a small hitch."
