Tbe Thames sufferers, tho; hj some were badly attacked, are all well. The residents of Paeroa, Waihi and Hamilton are reported also recovered. H is stated that the tongues were boiled in a copper and allowed to stand all night. It is believed lhat the action of the salt on the copper contaminated the tongues, though a strange circumstance is 1 hat persons who refrained from eating the tongues and only partook of tea were similarly attacked. Litigation is likely to ensue as the result of the occurrence.
