Tile Senate adopted the cjmmiltre’s reconunemiation that the benefits of the Teachers’ Supera’J lue uon Act be extended to professors, lecturers, and others employed in University Colleges if they join the fund. Professor Brown (Auckland) succeeded in getting the word “ public” struck-out of the regulation re conferring degrees, thus giving fhe authorities power in certain cases to hold the capping ceremony in private. The Chancellor said any rufliaii could -demand admission R Iho ceremony were performed publicly.
