To the Cricket Council to-night 11ni committee appointed to enquire into the alleged watering of the wicket during the Otago-Canterbury match reported that they had come to the conclusion that the wicket li«*> not been tampered with in'dhy way what-, ever. The umpires stated they were completely satisfied that the rolling of the wicket after ihe rain was quite .sufficient to account for the damp appearande thereof. The report was adopted*
