Death of Dean Hovell

For United Press Association. NAPIER, Sept. 4. Dean Hovel I died suddenly at Oruiondville to-night. The Dean, who had been in charge of St. John's Parish, Napier, for over 20 years, and to whose efforts the erection of St. John’s pro-Cathedral was mainly due, was one of the most eloquent and best-known prelates in the colony. He leaves a widow, two sons, and one daughter.
