Per United Press Association. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright SYDNEY, Sept. 4. Received 4th. 10.36 p.m. Before the Lands Commission J. B. Stevens gave evidence that what purported to be his signature on taking up a certain lease was a forgery. He gave no authority to take up the land nor had he pa-id any money in connection therewith.: He declared that the evidence he gave when previously before the Commission was all false. Hoskins, station manager for Wißis, persuaded him to give false evidence.
