Patent medicine proprietors refuse to deposit their, formulae with New Zealand officials, and are ceasing exports to the colony and their advertisements. Per United Press Association. Wellington, May o. Sir J. G. Ward, Minister for Public Health, interviewed re the patent medicine cable, stated that he had received no intimation on the subject. He had understood that, generally speaking, the recent arrangOmenit was satisfactory to the great bulk of patent medicine proprietors. The only question was the best way to protect the public fi‘om deleterious compounds. He could not see that the, proprietor of a medicine had anything to fear under (he regulations.
