A trial of the new Benicia disc plough was conducted by Mr Andrews, travelling expert of Messrs Morrow, Bassett and Co., on Mr Jno. Arnold's farm at Cambridge. The implement appeared to bo the one thing needed for the Waikato. The way the four horses worked the plough in stubble and couch grass was most surprising, turning the three furrows quite easily, the draught being about the same as a double-furrow mouldboard plough. The disc pulverises the land to such an extent that there is no need for* a. disc harrow, thereby saving much time and labour.
