Cycling Dispute

CHRISTCHURCH, May 5. To the North Canterbury Centro of the League of Wheelmen George Sutherland wrote regarding the Royal Enfield Cup race on Good Friday. The judges had awarded the race to Randrup and stated that Sutherland should have left the track before entering the hist lap. Sutherland contended that the race was run by the competitors as directed by the officials and claimed the cup. Other competitors wrote stating that the directions given v.cre that two men were to drop out after the first lap and three were to finish. It was decided that the act of the Christchurch Cycling nn-1 Motor Club (the promoters of the meeting) was unconstitutional and that the club be instructed to award the race to Sutherland.
