By yesterday’s mall we received from the committee an acknowledgement of a cheque fox' £'24 2s lOd, being the second instalment of the above fund. Tho committee wish us to intimate that they wish all lists to lie in by the 10th inst., and suggest that wo should receive lists up to! a fixed date, after which they must; be forwarded direct to Mi' William Peterson, Half-moon Hay, We will therefore i-eceive lists up to to-morrow night, when» our list will be finally closed. We understand that there are a number of lists still out in Invercargill, and as it is desirable that the committee should know as soon as possible what sum they have to work i on, 'holders • should accede to this request.
