New twelve-inch guns replace those aboard the Ocean and Vengeance, the wiring of -which has slackened. The Pall Mall Gazette urges the Admiralty to keep the eomitiy abreast in all matters connected with the naval guns. The battleship which Mr Arthur Lee, ‘Civil Lord of the Admiralty, foreshadowed will be of 18,000 t< ns displacement, and carry eight .12inch, ten 9.5-inch guns, and will have no ram. She will bo completed •in sixteen, months.
