At the athletic meeting, fni the three miles handicap, Shrubb, allowing Morgan 420 yards, beat him by 350 yards, in. 14 min. 54 3-sth secs. In the 100yds scratch Duffey beat Barker and Rowley, in 110 l-sth secs. It was declared •no race owimg to Duffey anticipating the pistol. Duffey, however < declined to rerun. The 60yds handicap resulted—Duffey, 1, Barker 2, Rowley 3 ; time t G 2-Tth secs. The 220yds championship of New South Wales was won by Barker, Brown 2, and Jones 3, in 21 4-sth secs—an Australasian record.
