The applications exceed 2} millions. Per United" Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec* 7. The closing date for receiving tenders for the N.&. million loan was the Bth, but after 1600 applications had- been re^ oeived and £2,500,000 had been applied for the 'Agent-Gtsneral. after consultation with the Bank o f England, and the colonys financial advisers, decided to close applications, two days before the tune fixed. -Had the original date for | closing been adhered to the sum applied for might have reached four millions.
