Wallace A. and P. Show
The number of entries received up to Saturday evening for the Wallace A. and P. Association's 3how was 485, but entries will be taken up to j this evening. Included in the classes are 97 draughts and 117 hackneys, thoroughbreds and light harness horses, coming from all the wellknown breeders in the districts surrounding Otautau, so that a fine show of horses is assured. The entries of other stock are also fairly numerous, and the stock train which will run on Wednesday morning to pck up stock between Invercargill and. Otautau should be largely availed of, as it has. been specially timed to suit the requirements of exhibitors. A passenger train, nt excur-. sion fures, leaves Invercargill at 9 a.m., stops at intermediate stations, and reaches Otautau at 11 p.m. ; it commences the rettirn journey nt 6 p.m. The shotw ground is :.«ly a few hundred yards from, the station. There is reason to believe . t hat resident s in Wallace will loyally assist the Association by their attendance, and matters generally point towards success in connection with the first A. and P. show at Otautau. — -Own correspondent.
