A conference of co-operative buttei factories favoured a bill- to enforce grading, and agreed to export to London all the spring output abov.o ibcal requirements, with a view to maintaining the price of prime butter in Sydney at 9d per lb, and specially selected at 9£d.
MELBOURNE, Aug. 17
Before the Butter Commission, Mi Sinclair, formerly Government agent at London, accused Mr Tavorner, Minister of Agriculture, of arranging with a company to personally act. aa their agent in obtaining and shipping inferior lamb, some of which was seized as unfit for human consumption, and branding it wath the Government certificate. Ho declared that Mr Taverner also secretly applied for a site for refrigerating works.
