Some thirty loombera of the Sawmill Workers' Union met in Otautau on Thursday, the President (Mr T. O'Byrne) in the chair. A committee was appointed to work the district, consisting of Messrs J. Smith ■'chairman), A. Gunn (secretary), J, Hamilton. E. O'Neill. J. Tomlinson, C. Coyle, A. Rassmusscn, J. Ellis, -T. Ward, smr., ___ c. Bade, ancl Who.rlich. The organising work in tho mills in tho Western district has now been coiuipleted. Altogether oighteon mills havo been visited, and 71 new members have bcon enrolled. Tho roll on January 31st was 538, and is now 609. I
