At the caucus of tho (Jovernment party yesterday it was decided to take up Mi Kirkbride's Mutual Fire Insurance BUI u<j a Government measure Yesterday Mi Seddon wired to Mr it. Allen, secretary of the Southland branch of the Fanners I'nion. as follows :— " 1 am very happy to inform you that the ("overn.ucnt have decided to 'take up the Mutual Fire Insurance Hill introduced by Mr Kirkbrido and to-day it was submitted to a meeting of our supporters. The decision of the Government was unanimously confirmed." This 1. -inn the uso it is r.'t-iost certain that the bill in question will be passed into law
