This week there was a marked' change in the weather. ; the mild sunny days ot the previous week having given place to "boisterous wind and heavy downpours oi rain. On Tuesday we had sharp thunder storms, , followed by very heavy ruin and showers 'of hail. More snow has fallen on the ZiongTvoods and the temperature is appreciably colder, 'l ho ram i was exceptionally heavy on -Wednesday i night and on Thursday morning some excitement was afforded when it became Known that one. of Trail Bros, und Smythies' timber punts had been swamped the previous night in the vi-imty ol tho bridge.
