Moslem irritation towards the Powers is shown by an assault on a Russian postman at Constantinople, and an insult offered to the Italian consul at Monastir. Received 25th, 10.19 p.m. The telegraph line between the city and Adrianople and the eastern districts has been cut by revolutionists. The whole vilayet has been proclaimed. UNHAPPY COUNTRY. Eight hundred and eighty refugees, including the governor of liiiada, a number of officials, many Moslems, and Vasilies, and 150 Greeks, have arrived at the entrance to the Bos- ; phorus. Harrowing accounts are given of the devastation caused by a band armed with rifles and wearing a uniform. The attack on. Iniada and other villages coincided with the arrival of the Russian squadron. ARE THESE THINGS TRUE ? Consular advices state that the Turks destroyed the village of Armenstao, outraging -the women and massacring everybody.
