Ferid Pasha goes to Macedonia to inspect the vilayets. The Porte declares that insurgents I destroyed, five villages in the Kh-ki-lissi district aiid massacred tho inhabitants. Insurgents captured the village of Vaaalika, killed the gameon of fifty and about a hundred inhabitants. They afterwards burnt two Greek villages near Midia. . There are 180,000 Turkish troops mobilised in Macedonia, and 24 Asiatic regiments are awaiting orders to enter Macedonia. The Porte has instituted a criminal court at Monastir, tho bench consisting of four Turks, two Greeks, and one Albanian, to try captured insurgents. Saratofi, one of the leaders of the Macedonian Committee, has escaped to the mountains. The withdrawal of the Russian fleet is partly attributed to the insurgents' interpretation that its presence indicated Russian sympathy. The withdrawal has disheartened tho Bulgarian committees. Moslem irritation towards the Powers is shown by an assault on a Russian postman at Constantinople, and an insult offered to the Italian consul at Monastir. Received 25th, 10.19 p.m. The telegraph line between the city and Adrianople and the eastern districts has been cut by revolutionists. The whole vilayet has been proclaimed. UNHAPPY COUNTRY. Eight hundred and eighty refugees, including the governor of liiiada, a number of officials, many Moslems, and Vasilies, and 150 Greeks, have arrived at the entrance to the Bos- ; phorus. Harrowing accounts are given of the devastation caused by a band armed with rifles and wearing a uniform. The attack on. Iniada and other villages coincided with the arrival of the Russian squadron. ARE THESE THINGS TRUE ? Consular advices state that the Turks destroyed the village of Armenstao, outraging -the women and massacring everybody. Guards, conducting 80 Kushevo revolutionists, bound together, towards Monastir, suddenly slaughtered them. Received 25th, 10.46 p.m. It is reported that Turks massacred all the women and children in twen-ty-two villages in the Fiorina and Monastir districts. ST. PETERSBURG, Aug. 25. SINISTER. Received 26th, 1.7 a.m. The Bulgarian gunboat Sadyda took aboard at Odessa a large quantity of war material, aftd sailed afterwards for an undisclosed destination,
