Lumsden Court Accommodation
(From our owiif^cbrresp'oneut,) i*
At the sitting of the Magistrate s Court at Lumßdon on Wedneadtvy, witnesses in a certain case were ordered out ot Court. His Worship characterised it as "inhuman,'' as -the weather was bitterly cold, and under foot thero were several inches of snow. . . Surely the Department will; do spmething th lS session to get a sum' placed on tho; eetinmtes for an addition in the shape of a^ witnesses room. It cannot be said there is a lock of funds, when the Hon. J. tr. Ward can" get a coql iiGOO for a nationmosber'a residence at Winton,, at which place there is a palacoin comparison to the residency here. We are, however, not in Awarua but Wakatipu ; anyway, we must touch our member on the subject and see if we cannot get a grant to make things more "human for people attending the Court.-
