The weekly returns of the Bank of England, published to-day, show tho Stock of gold, coin and bullion to bo £fU t 475;000 ; reserve, £25,148,000 ; percentage of reserve to liabilities, 51.18 ; notes in circulation, £29.124,000; public deposits, £6,915,000 : other deposits, £41,450,000; Government secuiv ities, £15,343,000 ; other securities, £29.959,000. Discount on three months' bills. 2j per cent.
Consols, 92?. Colonial stocks: N.S. Walesa's. 101; Victorian 4's. 105 i ; South Australian 3's, 02 ; Queensland 4's, 100 ; 3's, 92J : N.Z. 4'«, 100.
Pig iron, 0-s 3d. Sugar : First marks, 9s 7d per cwt ; German, beet, ißs. The Bradford wool market is dull, with a limited demand. At tho London sales the Gear clip brought 7 id, Haka 9id, Caithness 10 Jd, TeViotdalo lOJd. Prices gonerally are firm at late rates.
