IiONDON. July 17. At the Sosndown Park meeting tho : race for the Kclipse Stakes was won by Ard "Patrick, Sceptre Si, Rock Sand 3. Ard Patrick won by a neck, three lengths separating second and third. Hock Sand was first away, but Oriole soon supplanted him, Ard .r'atriok and Sceptro third nml fourth. A mile fram hotae Ard Patrick drow to tho front, followed by Hock Sand and Sceptro. At tho quarter-mile post Sc^ptr© ran up seroiwl and pasring Ard Patrick, the pair foupht out a desperate finish ; Duk.e oi Westminster fourth. Gubbins has sold Awl Patrick to Count LansdorfT for 20,000 guineas, retaining the right to run the horso throughout tho season .
