Sale of Criterion Hotel Ground Lease
The National .Mortgage and Agency Co., Core, report :— .Ve offered on behalf of tho borough the lease for -I years of the frontage to Main street, opposite the railway station, upon which the Criterion hotel stands. The upset was reduced from. £114 to t'St. the former amount being the rent" for the past term of _.l years. After spirited bidding the present tenant, .Mr .Jus. Knight, again becaitne the purchaser, at _.mr>, or £S> per annum less than the previous price. Mr Knight was represented hy his attorney, Mr Howler.
